The new Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 is an incredibly powerful camera designed for both traditional and online broadcasters. The 3 cameras in 1 design allows it to work as a 4K production camera, a 4K studio camera or a 6K digital film camera. You can record to common SD cards, UHS-II cards, CFast 2.0 cards or external USB disks, using common file formats such as H.265, ProRes and Blackmagic RAW. You can even change the lens mount, making it a highly flexible broadcast camera for professional workflows.
The Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 features a 23.10mm x 12.99mm sensor with a 2/3-inch field of view when using the installed 4K B4 mount, 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO with 0dB and 18dB gain. It includes an active EF mount and supports electronic lens control, autofocus and in-camera correction of color fringing with compatible broadcast lenses in Bahrain.
Built-in four-position ND filters provide clear, 2-stop, 4-stop and 6-stop ND options for controlling exposure. Recording supports 6K, 5.3K, 3.7K 6:5 anamorphic, Ultra HD and HD resolutions, with Blackmagic RAW reaching up to 150 fps in HD. ProRes and H.265 support up to 60 fps in Ultra HD, while H.264 supports HD recording up to 60 fps.
The camera offers 12G-SDI, XLR audio, USB-C, 12-pin broadcast lens control and reference connections. Direct SRT and RTMP streaming is available through USB-C connectivity. Dual CFast 2.0 slots, dual SD UHS-II slots and external USB-C recording provide flexible media options.
