The Blackmagic URSA Cine 12K LF is a professional digital cinema camera designed for high-end filmmaking in Bahrain. It features a large-format 35.64mm x 23.32mm RGBW sensor with 2.9-micron pixel pitch and 16 stops of dynamic range, providing detailed images with extensive creative flexibility in post-production.
The camera supports multiple 12K, 9K, 8K and 4K recording formats, including 12K 3:2 open gate, 12K 16:9, 12K 17:9, 12K 2.4:1 and 12K 6:5. High-speed recording reaches 80fps at 12K 3:2, 100fps at 12K 17:9, 120fps at 12K 2.4:1, 144fps at 8K/4K 3:2 open gate and 224fps at 8K/4K 2.4:1. Its PL lens mount is interchangeable with the included lockable EF mount.
Built-in clear, 2-stop, 4-stop and 6-stop IR ND filters provide convenient exposure control. Two 5-inch 1920 x 1080 LCD capacitive touchscreens offer 1500-nit brightness, while the camera also includes a dedicated status screen. Professional connectivity includes dual SDI outputs, two XLR audio inputs, headphone output, reference inputs, USB-C monitor ports, Lemo and Fischer connectors, and 10Gb/s Ethernet.
The included Blackmagic Media Module provides 8TB of high-performance removable storage. Recording supports Blackmagic RAW in multiple constant bitrate and constant quality options, along with simultaneous 1920 x 1080 H.264 proxy recording. WiFi, Blackmagic Cloud synchronization, FTP, SMB, NTP, Web Media Manager and SRT/RTMP streaming support efficient production workflows.
