Blackmagic Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G - W-CONM-29

Mini Converter Optical Fiber 12G is a bidirectional SDI and optical fiber converter designed for professional video workflows in Qatar. It can convert SDI to optical fiber and optical fiber to SDI simultaneously, with independent video standards supported in each direction.

The converter features one SD, HD and 12G-SDI video input and one optical fiber input. Its SDI outputs automatically match the SD, HD and 12G-SDI video received through the optical fiber connection. The optical fiber interface uses an optional SMPTE optical fiber SFP socket, allowing users to install a standard 3G, 6G or 12G-SDI SFP optical fiber module.

Multi-rate support automatically detects SD, HD or 12G-SDI signals, including Level A and Level B 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI and 12G-SDI. The converter supports SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K DCI standards, including Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60. It also supports 16 channels of embedded optical fiber audio, along with ASI support.

SDI video sampling and color precision support 4:2:2 and 4:4:4, with YUV and RGB color spaces. Built-in reclocking helps maintain signal integrity, while automatic format detection simplifies operation. There are no user controls, providing straightforward plug-and-play operation.

The unit includes a +12V universal power supply with international socket adapters. It consumes just 2 watts and operates across a 6–36V DC range. Compatible software environments include Mac and Windows systems.
