Cintel Audio and KeyKode Reader is designed to capture high-quality audio and KeyKode information directly from film when used with a Cintel Scanner in Qatar. It combines LED illumination, advanced optics, precision mechanical adjustments, a capstan and encoder to accurately read film audio while automatically correcting wow and flutter. KeyKode information provides unique identification numbers for individual film frames, making it easier to correlate scanned film with corresponding video time frames.
The reader supports optical audio with SMPTE equalisation and magnetic audio with IEC equalisation. Optical audio supports both variable area and variable density formats, while the system supports KeyKode scanning at all scanner speeds. Audio scanning supports 6fps to 125% of the selected film rate, with the maximum speed depending on the film frame rate and film format.
Audio is captured as 48kHz 24-bit PCM WAV files. For 35mm optical audio, bandwidth is 40Hz–16kHz ±2dB, with a signal-to-noise ratio of -65dB and wow and flutter below 0.15%. 16mm optical audio provides 40Hz–7kHz ±2dB bandwidth, -65dB signal-to-noise ratio and wow and flutter below 0.3%. Magnetic audio provides 32Hz–14kHz ±2dB bandwidth, -55dB signal-to-noise ratio and wow and flutter below 0.3%.
The Cintel Audio and KeyKode Reader includes a 3.5mm stereo headphone output for monitoring and an XLR6 audio connection. USB Type-C is provided for software updates. It operates from 12V power with 10W consumption and is designed for operating temperatures of 18–28°C with maximum 65% non-condensing humidity. Fast Delivery in Doha, Al Wakrah, Al Rayyan.
