The ATEM 4 M/E Constellation HD is a powerful live production switcher designed for demanding broadcast, streaming, and professional production workflows in Qatar. It provides 40 video inputs with video re-sync and frame rate and format converters on every input, supporting a wide range of HD standards from 720p to 1080p60. With 24 SDI outputs, users can configure outputs as program, preview, or auxiliary outputs according to production requirements. The switcher also supports 10-bit 4:2:2 video processing with Rec. 709 and Rec. 2020 color spaces.The massive 4 M/E model doubles the features of the 2 M/E model with 40 x 3G-SDI inputs, 24 x 3G-SDI outputs, 4 DVEs, 16 ATEM Advanced Keyers, 4 multiviews and 2 SuperSource for 12 x DVEs in total.
For advanced production, it features 16 upstream keyers, 4 downstream keyers, 16 advanced chroma keyers, 2 SuperSource processors, 21 linear/luma keyers, and 4 DVE transitions. Four independent multiviews can each display up to 16 views, while four media players support still images and video clips. The integrated 156-channel audio mixer provides EQ, dynamics, metering, and master gain control for comprehensive audio management.
The front panel includes a built-in 5-inch HD LCD monitor, dedicated source and transition controls, talkback selection, and emergency switching controls. Ethernet, USB-C, MADI, talkback, and RS-422 connectivity provide flexible integration into professional setups. Dual internal 100–240V AC power supplies and a 2RU rackmount design support reliable installation.
