Thales Multifinger Fingerprint Scanner - CS500f

The Thales Multifinger Scanner CS500f is a compact, FBI Appendix F-certified ten-print live fingerprint scanner designed for biometric enrollment and identity management applications in Bahrain. Supporting both flat and rolled fingerprint acquisition, it combines fast capture performance with USB 3.0 connectivity and integration-friendly software for system integrators and solution providers.

The scanner captures four-finger slaps and two-thumb impressions across an active scanning area of up to 3.2 × 3.0 inches. It also supports rolled fingerprint capture at 500 dpi, with an active area of up to 1.6 × 1.6 inches. These capabilities make it suitable for foundational identity registration, electronic identity document issuance, and other applications requiring ten-print biometric enrollment.

The accompanying Multiscan SDK provides automatic acquisition sequence checking, real-time rolled fingerprint capture, automatic segmentation of slap images, and checks for correct finger placement and missing fingers. It also detects fingerprint distortion caused by sliding, identifies latent prints from recent scans, and automatically selects images based on configurable quality thresholds. Dynamic quality assessment follows NISTIR 7151, while halo elimination helps address image artefacts caused by moist fingerprints.

Fingerprint images can be compressed using FBI-certified WSQ, JPEG, or JPEG 2000 formats. Supported output formats include ANSI/NIST-ITL records, with specified record types and EFTS71 output support. Twelve three-colour LEDs guide users through finger placement and provide capture-quality feedback, helping streamline enrollment workflows. Optional liveness and spoof detection software can identify fake fingers made from various materials.

Built with a scratch-resistant surface rated at least 6H hardness, the scanner has an IP54 rating and measures 151 × 148 × 102 mm, weighing approximately 1.5 kg. It supports Windows up to Windows 11 64-bit, Linux Ubuntu and Fedora in 32-bit and 64-bit configurations, and Android.

The Thales Multifinger Scanner CS500f is suitable for government identity programs, biometric enrollment centres, and integrated kiosk systems. Buy now with Fast Delivery in Manama, Riffa, Muharraq.
