SecuGen Hamster Pro 20 USB Fingerprint Scanner - HU20-AL

The SecuGen Hamster Pro 20 USB Fingerprint Reader is a compact biometric device designed for secure fingerprint authentication, identification, and verification. Suitable for organizations in Bahrain, it combines high-quality optical fingerprint imaging with a rugged design for reliable operation in demanding environments.

The reader captures fingerprint images at 500 DPI resolution, producing 300 × 400-pixel images with 256 grayscale levels. Its advanced optical sensor is designed to capture fingerprints from dry, moist, aged, and scarred fingers. Smart Capture technology helps improve image quality, while Auto-On technology automatically detects finger placement when used with compatible applications developed using SecuGen SDKs.

The Hamster Pro 20 meets FBI image quality requirements for PIV and Mobile ID FAP 20 applications and is STQC certified for Aadhaar/UIDAI applications. Fake Finger Rejection technology helps detect spoofed fingerprints, while latent print rejection prevents authentication using residual fingerprints left on the sensor. Its IP54-rated construction provides protection against dust and water splashes.

The device connects through USB and draws power directly from the port, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter. SecuGen provides SDKs for developing fingerprint registration, matching, and authentication applications for Windows, Linux, and Android. It also supports Windows Hello for convenient fingerprint login on compatible Windows systems.

Measuring 53.9 × 58.5 × 31.6 mm and weighing 98 g, the reader features an integrated finger guide for convenient placement. It operates across temperatures from -20°C to 65°C and includes a 1,500 mm cable.
