Teranex AV is a professional standards converter designed for live events, AV installations, broadcast and post-production workflows in Bahrain. It provides 1,089 up, down, cross and standards conversions for formats up to 2160p60, using advanced processing algorithms for high-quality image conversion. The system combines 12G-SDI, quad SDI and HDMI connectivity with professional audio connections and features designed for live production.
Teranex AV supports 10-bit SD, HD, 2K, 3G HD, 6G and 12G Ultra HD through its SDI inputs and outputs. Quad SDI outputs support 10-bit 3G-SDI Quad Link and Quad HD Split for Ultra HD p50/59.94/60, while HDMI 2.0 provides video input, loop and output connections with YUV or RGB support. Optional optical fiber connectivity provides additional 10-bit video and 16-channel audio connections.
The converter handles 16 channels of SDI audio and 8 channels of HDMI audio, along with balanced XLR, consumer RCA and AES/EBU digital audio inputs. It supports Dolby AC-3 pass through in all conversions and Dolby E pass through except during video frame rate conversions. VITC/ATC timecode, Black Burst or Tri-level sync reference, closed captioning and video indexing metadata are also supported.
Real-time processing includes up conversion, down conversion, cross conversion, noise reduction, cadence detection, scene cut detection, color correction, proc amp control and hardware-based color space conversion. Selected conversions support two-frame low-latency processing. The built-in still store can capture a video frame into non-volatile memory, while freeze frame and output switching provide additional live production flexibility.
