Blackmagic 2110 IP Mini BiDirect 12G SFP lets you convert broadcast cameras with SDI connections to SMPTE-2110 IP video systems over long distances using optical fiber in Bahrain. Its 12G-SDI connection supports SD, HD and Ultra HD standards up to 2160p60 and also handles the SDI program return. A 5-pin XLR talkback headset connection provides talkback volume control and a press-to-talk button.
The converter features one SDI video input and one SDI video output, supporting 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G-SDI rates. Its SFP socket accepts 10G Ethernet, 3G-SDI, 6G-SDI or 12G-SDI optical modules, providing flexible connectivity for professional IP video workflows. The 10G Ethernet interface supports SMPTE-2110 IP video and 16 channels of embedded audio in both directions.
Blackmagic 2110 IP Mini BiDirect 12G SFP supports SMPTE 2110-20, 2110-21, 2110-30 and 2110-40, along with IEEE 1588-2008 PTP v2 and NMOS IS-04 and IS-05. It provides access to the complete SMPTE ancillary data stream, including RP 188/SMPTE 12M-2, closed captioning and HDR static metadata. The Blackmagic IP10 codec is used when converting 12G-SDI rates to 10G 2110 IP video.
USB-C 3.0 enables configuration and firmware updates, while the included +12V DC power supply provides power. The converter also includes live tally indication, SDI reclocking, automatic format detection and support for SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K standards.
