The Videohub Smart Control Pro is a professional hardware controller designed for fast router switching with single-button operation. In Bahrain, it provides 48 programmable buttons for remote control of routers over an IP network, allowing each button to be assigned to a router crosspoint. Buttons can also be configured for multiple destinations and take operations, while up to 10 macro buttons can activate multiple simultaneous switching commands.
The controller can be configured as a Videohub controller or a 2110 NMOS controller, making it suitable for both traditional router control and IP video workflows. Ethernet connectivity uses RJ45 In and Out, with Power over Ethernet supported on the Ethernet In connection. Ethernet Out does not support Power over Ethernet. RS-422 In and Out connections are also provided for future implementation.
IP video compliance includes IEEE 1588-2008 (PTP v2), ST 2059-1, and ST 2059-2 for Precision Time Protocol. NMOS support includes IS-04 Discovery and Registration v1.3.2 with peer-to-peer mDNS/DNS-SD, IS-05 Connection Management v1.1.2, NMOS BCP-002-01 Natural Grouping, and BCP-004-01 Receiver Capabilities.
Configuration and software updates are available through USB-C, with button configuration provided free for Windows and Mac using a USB 2.0 high-speed 480Mb/s interface. Internal firmware can be updated through the included updater application via USB. The unit features an internal 100-240V AC power supply and power fail protection that preserves button configurations and router communication, with configurations available for later recall.
