UltraStudio 4K Extreme 3 is a professional capture and playback solution designed for PCI Express and Thunderbolt computers. It combines 12G-SDI, HDMI 2.0, extensive analog and digital connections, HDR support, 3D processing, and real-time H.265 encoding for demanding broadcast and post-production workflows.

It features two 12Gb/s and two 6Gb/s SDI inputs and outputs supporting SD, HD, 2K, and 4K with single, dual, or quad-link 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 operation. Four reclocked SDI loop outputs and repeated outputs further expand routing options.
The unit includes HDMI 2.0 inputs and outputs supporting 2160p60, component YUV and composite NTSC/PAL connections, professional balanced XLR audio inputs, consumer RCA audio inputs, AES/EBU, 16-channel embedded SDI audio, and 8-channel HDMI audio.
