This model’s SDI has been upgraded to full 12G-SDI with a loop 12G-SDI output. The two SDI outputs are both 12G-SDI so you can play ProRes 4444 files for true Ultra HD fill and key out. The HDMI connections and the ProRes and DNx file formats all switch between SD, HD and Ultra HD television standards. Like the other models, H.264 is included for SD and HD, but then switches to H.265 when recording in Ultra HD. Even the networking has been upgraded to 10G Ethernet for incredible speed! You also get 2 redundant AC power supplies!

The recorder supports ProRes, DNxHD, DNxHR, H.264 and H.265 codecs, with H.265 available for Ultra HD recording. Two 2.5-inch drive slots support SATA-II or SATA-III solid state media, while two SD card slots support UHS-I and UHS-II cards. USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 provides external recording, webcam output, software configuration and updates.
A built-in 2.2-inch LCD provides video, audio and timecode monitoring. The front panel features 16 transport and device-control buttons with a search dial featuring an electronic clutch. RS-422 supports deck control, while 10G Ethernet enables fast network operation and remote FTP file uploads.
