Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G G3 is a compact 1 rack unit audio monitoring solution designed for professional broadcast environments. It combines 12G-SDI and SMPTE-2110 IP video monitoring with HDMI output, multiple audio inputs, built-in stereo speakers and detailed audio metering for workflows in Kuwait.
The unit features one SDI input and one reclocked SDI loop output supporting 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G and 12G-SDI. SDI and HDMI are switchable between standard definition, high definition and Ultra HD. The HDMI 2.0 output provides video monitoring, while SDI supports 16 channels of embedded audio and the HDMI output supports 8 channels.
Audio connectivity includes two XLR analog inputs, two RCA HiFi inputs, one XLR digital audio input and two channels of balanced 110Ω AES/EBU via XLR. A 6.5mm headphone output is also provided. The built-in stereo speaker system features a 2-way crossover with independent stereo subwoofers.
For IP broadcast systems, the 10Gb/s RJ-45 Ethernet connection supports 10/100/1000/10G BASE-T for SMPTE-2110 IP video input, configuration and firmware updates. The unit supports SMPTE 2110-20, 2110-21, 2110-30 and 2110-40, along with PTP v2, ST 2059-1, ST 2059-2, NMOS IS-04, NMOS IS-05 and NMOS BCP standards. The Blackmagic IP10 codec converts 12G-SDI rates to 10G 2110 IP video.
Audio monitoring uses 54 RGB segment LEDs with selectable VU, PPM EBU, PPM BBC or Loudness metering and a replaceable level scale. Two 27-segment RGB LED meters provide VU, PPM or Loudness display modes.
A 2.2-inch color LCD displays video input, video standard, audio type and selected channels. Push-button controls and a scroll wheel allow input, channel, mute and volume adjustment.
