Teranex Mini SDI to Audio 12G is a professional audio de-embedding converter designed to extract audio from SD, HD, 2K and Ultra HD SDI signals for flexible audio connectivity in Kuwait. It accepts one 12G-SDI input with automatic SD/HD/2K/4K switching and provides a 12G-SDI loop output for passing the original video signal to downstream equipment.

The converter can output two channels of professional balanced analog audio through XLR connectors, with the right XLR configurable for timecode output. It also provides two-channel unbalanced analog line-level output through HiFi RCA connectors and an optical S/PDIF output using a TOSLINK connector. For digital audio workflows, four channels of professional 110Ω balanced AES/EBU digital audio are available through XLR connectors, with the right XLR also configurable for timecode output.

Teranex Mini SDI to Audio 12G supports up to 16 channels of embedded SDI audio and is compatible with a wide range of SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD and 4K video standards. SDI support includes 3G-SDI level A and B, 6G-SDI and 12G-SDI, while video sampling supports 4:2:2 and 4:4:4. SDI audio is sampled at 48 kHz and 24-bit.

Configuration and software upgrades can be performed through USB or Ethernet, with basic settings available through mini switches and the free software utility. An optional Smart Panel provides an LCD, rotary knob and six settings buttons for convenient front-panel control.

The converter features a built-in 100–240V AC power supply and can also operate from 48V DC using PoE+.
