The ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel 40 features 2 M/E rows with 40 input buttons and 4 independent system control LCDs for each row. Each row can control up to 4 M/Es in larger switchers. Both rows and all input buttons include LCDs for custom labeling, while each row also includes an independent select bus for flexible source selection.

It features 40 direct cross points and 80 shifted cross points with tri-color LED buttons, 6-row 24-character LCD crosspoint labels, and 12 on-air indicators. Four DSK transition selectors provide Auto, Cut, and Tie/Preview functions. The panel also includes two preview transitions, four LCD menu displays with 20-button menu controls, two dedicated 40-button macro sections, eight transport control buttons, two destination buses, two source select buses, two fader bars, a three-axis joystick, and a numeric keypad. Four 10/100/1000 BASE-T Ethernet ports with loop output support additional control panels or computers, while USB-C enables firmware updates. The panel supports the ATEM Software Control Panel and works with Mac and Windows operating systems.
