Fairlight Audio Interface is a professional audio post production I/O interface offering an extensive range of analog and digital inputs and outputs. It includes preamps for microphones and instruments, built-in sample rate conversion, synchronization at common frame rates, and dual 9-pin control ports. The interface requires the Fairlight Audio Accelerator and connects to it using the supplied proprietary interface cable.
For professional audio post production in Saudi Arabia, the interface provides 2 x remote controlled XLR/TRS microphone inputs with 48v phantom power and instrument preamps, 8 x +24dBu balanced analog inputs, and 12 x +24dBu balanced analog outputs with mute protection. Digital connectivity includes 9 x fully transformer coupled AES stereo inputs, 1 x S/PDIF input with sample-rate conversion, 11 x AES stereo outputs, and 1 x stereo digital S/PDIF output.
The Fairlight Audio Interface supports 44.1, 48, 96, and 192 kHz sample rates. Input and output frequency response is specified across 20Hz - 20kHz. Sync connections include 75 ohm BNC Reference and word clock inputs and outputs, with support for HD Tri-level sync, video sync, word-clock, and AES/EBU.
Additional connectivity includes RS-422 9-pin machine control input and output, timecode input and output with regeneration, and GPI/GPO connections for cough and ‘On-Air’ control. The interface supports Mac 13.0 Ventura, Mac 14.0 Sonoma or later on Intel Macs only, Windows 10 Creators Update, and Windows 11. It uses an internal 100 - 240V AC 50/60Hz IEC C14 power supply with 40W power usage and automatically powers on/off with the Fairlight Audio Accelerator.
