UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G is a compact professional playback device designed to provide broadcast-quality 12G-SDI and HDMI video output from a Thunderbolt computer. It supports 10-bit video and integrates with popular editing, compositing, graphics, and broadcast software for professional monitoring and output workflows.
For professional video production in Global, the device provides two SDI video outputs, including dedicated SDI fill and key outputs, along with one HDMI 2.0 output. SDI supports rates from 270Mb through 12G, while both SDI and HDMI connections support SD, HD, 2K, Ultra HD, and 4K formats up to 2160p60 and 4Kp60 DCI.
The UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G supports embedded audio with up to 16 channels through SDI and 8 channels through HDMI. SDI video supports 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 sampling, with 8, 10, and 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 supported up to 2160p30 and 8, 10-bit YUV 4:2:2 across supported standards. HDMI 2.0 also supports Deep Color, while Rec. 601, Rec. 709, and Rec. 2020 color spaces are available.
HDR workflows are supported through HDR static metadata packing, HLG, and PQ transfer characteristics. Hardware-based real-time color-space conversion helps maintain efficient signal processing. The device also supports a wide range of professional codecs and uncompressed video formats through compatible software.
Thunderbolt 4 provides the computer connection, with compatibility for Apple Silicon Macs, Windows, and Linux.
