UltraStudio 4K Mini is a portable Thunderbolt 3 capture and playback solution designed for professional broadcast and post-production workflows. It supports broadcast-quality 8-bit and 10-bit HDR capture up to 4K DCI 60p, along with 12-bit HDR capture up to 4K DCI 30p.
For users in Global, UltraStudio 4K Mini provides extensive connectivity for capturing, monitoring, and outputting professional video. It includes one SDI input, two SDI program outputs, one SDI loop output, and HDMI 2.0b input and output. SDI supports 270Mb, 1.5G, 3G, 6G, and 12G rates, while SDI audio provides 16 embedded channels across SD, HD, 2K, UHD, and 4K formats.
The interface also includes component YUV or composite NTSC/PAL input, two channels of balanced analog audio input and output, an XLR microphone input with switchable 48V phantom power, Tri-Sync or Black Burst sync, and Sony-compatible RS-422 deck control. A USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port supports up to 5Gb/s, while the integrated SD card reader is compatible with UHS-I and UHS-II cards for direct camera-media access.
UltraStudio 4K Mini supports SD, HD, 2K, UHD, and 4K formats, including 4K DCI up to 60p. SDI supports 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 sampling with 8, 10, and 12-bit RGB 4:4:4, while HDMI supports 4:4:4, 4:2:2, and 4:2:0 with 8, 10, and 12-bit color. HDR static metadata, HLG, and PQ are supported.
