The HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR is a professional 8K broadcast deck designed for high-end recording, playback, monitoring, and broadcast workflows. It supports native 8K and HDR with advanced H.265 recording, internal cache recording, 3D LUTs, and a large 7-inch HDR touchscreen. The deck features four SDI inputs and five SDI outputs, with support for SDI rates from 270Mb through 12G-SDI. It also includes HDMI 2.0 input and output, component and composite video input, professional balanced XLR audio inputs, RCA audio inputs, and dedicated timecode connections. Its 7-inch 1920 x 1200 LCD provides 2000-nit brightness and 100% DCI-P3 coverage for detailed HDR monitoring. Ethernet connectivity reaches 10Gb/s, while USB-C supports external recording and software updates.

Recording options include two CFast 2.0 card slots, an external USB-C expansion port, and an optional M.2 PCIe NVMe card for cache or internal recording. The deck supports ProRes, DNxHD, DNxHR, H.265, and H.264 codecs, with recording capabilities extending to 8K formats up to 60fps. Built-in waveform, RGB Parade, Vector and Histogram scopes provide broadcast-quality monitoring.
