DeckLink 8K Pro G2 is a professional PCIe capture and playback card designed for feature film production and advanced high-resolution workflows. It combines four bi-directional 12G-SDI connections with HDMI 2.1, supporting SD, HD, 2K, 4K and 8K standards for demanding capture and playback applications.

For professional production environments in Global, the card supports single, dual and quad link 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 video with switchable 2D/3D operation. Its 12G-SDI connections support frame rates up to 120p in HD and 4K, while 8K operation reaches up to 60p. SDI color precision supports 8, 10 and 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 up to 8Kp30 DCI, together with 8 and 10-bit YUV 4:2:2.

The HDMI 2.1 input and output support SD through 8K formats, including 8K up to 60p, with higher frame rates available for Ultra HD and 4K. HDMI supports 4:2:2, 4:4:4 and 4:2:0, 8, 10 and 12-bit color precision, REC 601, REC 709 and REC 2020, plus Dolby Vision up to Ultra HD and 4K DCI 60p, HDR static metadata, HLG and PQ.

Audio capability includes 16 embedded SDI channels in SD, HD and 2K and 64 channels in 4K and 8K. Tri-Sync or Black Burst provides synchronization, while hardware-based real-time color space conversion and SDI-only dual-stream 3D processing support advanced workflows.

The PCI Express 8-lane Generation 3 interface fits 8- and 16-lane PCIe slots and requires two PCI slots plus connection to the computer power supply. Included software features DaVinci Resolve, Media Express, Disk Speed Test, LiveKey and Blackmagic Desktop Video Utility, with compatibility across Mac OS, Windows and Linux.
