DeckLink Studio 4K is a versatile professional capture and playback card designed for workflows that combine modern digital video with a wide range of analog equipment. It provides 10-bit SDI input and output supporting SD, HD, 2K and 4K, with 6G 4:2:2 and 3G 4:4:4 support. HDMI 1.4b connections are also included for digital video workflows.
For users in Global, DeckLink Studio 4K provides extensive connectivity for professional editing, broadcast design, paint and other video applications. Its analog connections include Component YUV, Composite and S-Video inputs and outputs, while four channels of balanced analog audio are available through 1/4-inch jack connectors. Channels 3 and 4 can be switched to AES/EBU outputs, providing up to six AES/EBU output audio channels. The card also includes two channels of AES/EBU input, embedded SDI audio, HDMI audio, Tri-Sync or Black Burst reference and Sony-compatible RS-422 deck control.
Video support covers SD, HD, 2K DCI, Ultra HD and 4K DCI standards. SDI provides 8- and 10-bit RGB 4:4:4 and 8- and 10-bit YUV 4:2:2, while HDMI supports 4:4:4, 4:2:2 and 4:2:0 sampling.
Built-in processing includes hardware HD down conversion, SD-to-HD up conversion, 720HD-to-1080HD and 1080HD-to-720HD cross conversion, real-time effects and hardware-based real-time color-space conversion. The PCI Express 4-lane Generation 2 interface works with 4-, 8- and 16-lane slots.
