Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is a next-generation handheld 6K digital film camera with a 6048 x 4032 full-frame high-resolution HDR sensor, dual native ISO, L-Mount, CFexpress recording, and direct recording to USB-C disks. In Global, it delivers cinematic image quality with 12-bit Blackmagic RAW and real-time H.264 proxies.
The camera features a 36mm x 24mm full-frame sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO of 400 and 3200. Its active L-Mount supports iris and focus control on compatible lenses, along with single-shot autofocus, continuous autofocus, object tracking, and face tracking. Recording resolutions range from 6K Open Gate 3:2 at up to 36fps to 1080p at up to 120fps.
For monitoring and operation, the camera includes a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 capacitive touchscreen with 1500-nit brightness. Dedicated controls include record, stills, ISO, white balance, shutter, focus, iris, high frame rate, zoom, menu, playback, and configurable function buttons.
Storage options include a CFexpress Type B card slot and USB-C expansion for external media. Blackmagic RAW recording is supported across multiple compression options, while H.264 proxy recording is available at 1920 x 1080.
