For professional live production in Global, the ATEM Mini Extreme provides eight 10-bit HD HDMI inputs with frame rate and format converters and video input re-synchronization on every input. It supports HD formats up to 1080p60 with 4:2:2 YUV sampling, 10-bit color precision and Rec. 709 color space. Two HDMI program outputs provide flexible monitoring and production connectivity.
The switcher features four upstream keyers, two downstream keyers, up to four advanced chroma keyers, up to four linear/luma keyers and two DVE engines with borders and drop shadow. Six picture-in-picture DVEs and up to nine layers enable sophisticated live compositions. Two media players provide fill and key playback, with a 20-still media pool supporting PNG, TGA, BMP, GIF, JPEG and TIFF formats.
The integrated 11-input, two-channel audio mixer includes individual gain control, level and peak metering, compressor, gate, limiter and six bands of parametric EQ. USB-C supports digital audio output with Fairlight Live integration. The switcher also supports RTMP and SRT streaming over Ethernet or USB-C and direct recording of program output as H.264 MP4 with AAC audio.
